A 33-year-old man was shot multiple times on the 1900 block of North Croskey Street just before 2 p.m., the department said. He was pronounced dead at Temple Hospital minutes later, according to authorities.
PPD did not report his name.
Two blocks east on West Norris Street, the K-8 Frederick Douglass Mastery Charter School was placed on lockdown, police said. Daily Voice has reached out to the school for comment.
No arrests had been made and no weapons recovered as of Tuesday afternoon, authorities added.
